Wake Technologies is an IT consulting practice based in Columbus, Ohio. I work with companies across the US on Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, Cloudflare, and business networking. How I Work
I'm a one-person shop, and that's intentional. When you hire Wake Technologies, you're hiring me directly. There's no sales process, no project manager relay, no wondering who's actually going to show up. I do the work.
Before I touch anything, I want to understand how your business actually runs. The technical side is the easy part. The harder part is making sure whatever I build fits the way your team works and doesn't create problems six months down the road.
Areas of Expertise
Microsoft Entra ID
This is where security starts. I set up and manage Entra ID tenants, configure conditional access and MFA, handle role-based access control, and sync with on-prem Active Directory for hybrid environments. If your identity setup is messy or was never done properly, I can clean it up.
Microsoft 365
I've done everything from first-time M365 tenant setups to migrating thousands of mailboxes off on-prem Exchange. I also handle Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, licensing reviews, and the security and compliance features that most organizations never get around to configuring.
Microsoft Azure
New Azure environments, migrations from on-prem or other clouds, and ongoing management of existing setups. Subscription architecture, networking, compute, storage, security baselines, and keeping costs from quietly spiraling.
Cloudflare
DNS, SSL/TLS, DDoS mitigation, WAF rules, caching, and performance tuning. There's a real difference between flipping Cloudflare on and actually configuring it well. I do the latter.
Microsoft Intune
Device management for companies that hand out laptops and phones but don't have a way to manage them centrally. Intune setup, compliance policies, Autopilot for zero-touch deployments, Defender for Endpoint, and BYOD policies that protect company data without taking over personal devices.
Network Infrastructure
I design and manage small to mid-size business networks using Ubiquiti UniFi. Routers, switches, access points, VLANs, VPNs, and multi-site setups. Enterprise-grade networking without the enterprise-grade licensing costs.
Working Together
I work with companies at different stages. Some are setting up cloud infrastructure for the first time. Others have been running in Azure for years and need someone to come in and fix what's not working or take over management. I do both short-term projects and ongoing retainers.
