Entra ID Consulting Services
Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) controls who can sign into what, and under what conditions. It's the front door to your entire Microsoft environment. If it's not set up properly, everything behind it is at risk. I set up new Entra ID tenants and fix existing ones that weren't configured with security in mind.
Tenant Setup & Configuration
Getting the foundation right so you're not retroactively fixing things later:
- Tenant creation and initial domain configuration
- User, group, and administrative role architecture
- Custom security defaults and branding
- Application registrations and service principal management
Hybrid Identity & Directory Synchronization
If you're running on-prem Active Directory and Entra ID side by side, the sync between them needs to be solid. I handle:
- Entra Connect (formerly Azure AD Connect) deployment and configuration
- Synchronization scope, filtering, and attribute mapping
- Password hash sync, pass-through authentication, or federation configuration
- Staged migration planning from on-premises to cloud-only identity
Security & Conditional Access
The goal is keeping the bad actors out without making life miserable for your employees. I set up:
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA) deployment and policy design
- Conditional access policies based on user risk, device compliance, and location
- Privileged Identity Management (PIM) for just-in-time admin access
- Identity Protection risk policies and automated remediation
Ongoing Management
Identity isn't a set-it-and-forget-it thing. People join, leave, change roles. I can handle the ongoing work:
- Monitoring & audit -- watching sign-in logs, triaging security alerts, and generating compliance reports
- Access reviews -- regularly checking who has access to what, and cleaning up stale accounts and permissions
- Onboarding & offboarding -- making sure new hires get the right access and departing employees lose it immediately
- Policy updates -- adjusting configurations as your organization changes
