Microsoft 365 Consulting Services
Most companies use M365 for email and Teams and call it a day. That's fine, but there's a lot being left on the table, especially around security and compliance features you're already paying for. I handle everything from initial setup to complex migrations to making sure you're actually using what you've licensed.
Tenant Setup & Licensing
I set up M365 tenants and make sure you're on the right license tier. No reason to pay for E5 features you'll never touch:
- License assessment and right-sizing recommendations
- Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online configuration
- Custom domain setup and DNS record management
- Integration with existing line-of-business applications
Email & Data Migration
Moving off on-prem Exchange, Google Workspace, or another provider. The goal is getting everything over without your users losing a day of work:
- Pre-migration assessment and compatibility analysis
- Mailbox, calendar, and contact migration to Exchange Online
- File migration to OneDrive and SharePoint Online
- User communication, training, and post-migration support
Security & Compliance
These features are included in most M365 plans, but I rarely see them configured. If you're paying for them, you should be using them:
- Microsoft Defender for Office 365 configuration (anti-phishing, safe attachments, safe links)
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies
- Sensitivity labels and information protection
- Retention policies and eDiscovery configuration
Ongoing Administration
Don't have a dedicated M365 admin? I can fill that role on a retainer basis:
- Monitoring & support -- keeping tabs on service health and handling issues when they come up
- User management -- adding new hires, removing departures, and keeping licenses allocated properly
- Backup -- setting up third-party backups for mailboxes, SharePoint, and Teams (because Microsoft's native retention isn't a backup strategy)
- Feature rollouts -- evaluating new M365 features and rolling them out on your schedule, not Microsoft's
